The Future of Real Estate with Andrew Hines | S01E06

Andrew Hines has hosted over a hundred episodes of his podcast, but today, he is joining me for a very insightful episode of More to Life. When Andrew had his first BRRR project, he underwent a "baptism by fire" where he babysat the project and stayed onsite five days a week! He had put all his time and energy into this single project to make sure that everything went right and also, to learn every detail of his business.

When Andrew had his first BRRR project, he underwent a "baptism by fire" where he babysat the project and stayed onsite five days a week! He had put all his time and energy into this single project to make sure that everything went right and also, to learn every detail of his business.

Andrew helped me realized that lacking a certain skill or knowledge in a specific area is not an excuse for failure. In our episode today, he shares what he did to learn his place in this business, including the nights spent on YouTube learning how to properly install windows so as to ensure his crews were not making any mistakes. This story surprised me in the best way. Listening to people like Andrew opens my mind to new ideas and new learning, and I hope you'll experience the same.

Discussion Points:

  • The housing situation in Canada right now
  • A peek into Ontario's primary and tertiary markets
  • How did Andrew start an off-shore expansion in the US
  • Knowing and understanding the numbers of your business
  • How can your success be influenced by people around you

Balancing Work, Life, and Real Estate Investing with David Knight | S01E03

Today, my guest is someone whose story sounds a lot like my own. He is a full-time police officer who is working hard to get himself to the point where he too can move to full-time real estate investment. He is at the same time also managing to host a successful investment podcast, he does online boot camps and has written several eBooks to help people understand real estate investment.

Today, my guest is someone whose story sounds a lot like my own. He is a full-time police officer who is working hard to build a large real estate portfolio for himself and his family. He is at the same time also managing to host a successful investment podcast, he does online boot camps and has written several eBooks to help people understand real estate investment.

To me, it is clear that Dave has a passion to not only become financially free himself but also to help others do just that - especially other first responders. In this episode, David shares his thought process for remaining in his full-time job for now and he gives some great tips for newcomers wanting to get into investment.
